Safety policy

Bowland Products has a firm commitment to both the safety of our products to the end consumer and also during the manufacture, transportation and delivery of it.

All the chipboard & MDF used in the manufacture of our products conforms to European regulations on formaldehyde emissions. Where possible, the factories have introduced control measures to reduce the dust levels.

We ensure that every product sold in the United Kingdom is tested to European safety standards and British standards. We can also offer a customer advice service which the end customer can use to address any of their product concerns.

Our factories work under strict European & Polish Health and Safety regulations meaning that the health and safety of the workers are paramount.

The palletisation of the products is designed to maximise load efficiencies but also to ensure the products are stable for transportation and arrive safely without movement or damage to the product.

Environmental policy

As a supplier to UK national retailers, Bowland Products recognises its responsibliity to conserve the world's forests.

It is our aim to offer products containing wood or wood fibre, only where it has been legally obtained from sustainable, well-managed forests.

By careful design of the packaging, the use of unrecycleable materials is kept to the bare minimum. We also strongly encourage recycling of the packaging.

The factories are amongst the most modern furniture production facilities in Poland and as such have efficient machinery and heating/lighting systems. The benefit of this is the power required to run them is as low as possible thus reducing the impact on the environment.
